Behold the tapestry of my creations, where my Brazilian roots whisper through burning flames. A fire dance with fashion.

Where did it all begin?

My Artistic
Journey

In the heart of Brasil, in a mystical town called Chapada dos Veadeiros, Alto Paraíso de Goiás, my roots run deep. At the tender age of nine I drifted to Australia with my father, and by sixteen I ventured alone into the world, in search of the world's finest arts and cultural secrets.

Years of wandering led me across continents — Mexico, Japan, Guatemala, Australia, Germany, Chile — until I found myself back home: Brasil. It was here that it all began. In 2022, fire danced before my eyes, mesmerizing me with a performance that whispered promises of artistic passion. In June 2025, during an artistic residency, I embraced the flames, for the first time feeling their power in my own two hands.

My first circus immersion was at the Circus Convention in Brasília, July 2025 — an eight-day immersion of diverse classes with over 300 artists from all over Brazil. This inspired me to go to Guatemala, where the Flow Arts kept revealing their secrets to me; there I learned from the world's finest. For twelve days at Eagle's Nest I danced, flew in aerials, spun dragon staffs and lit many fires; each movement revealing a newfound skill.

Inspired by the performers' unique fashion, I too ventured into creating my own persona, adorned in visually striking clothes and accessories. With macramé techniques, sewing and abstract painting, I weave a tapestry of expression with a fusion of fashion.

Performances

*Fire is
unforgettable.*

I'll never forget lighting that first fire. The adrenaline rushing through my body. The heat against my skin. The sudden awareness of every eye drawn toward the flame.

Fire has a way of transforming moments into memory. It draws people together, creating a shared experience that feels timeless. For a moment, everyone is connected by the same warmth, the same light, the same sense of wonder. And long after the flames disappear, people will still remember that feeling.

Artistic Trajectory

Where has the
fire taken me?

Weddings, festivals, conferences, parties, gatherings, circus conventions, Guatemala and much more.

April — June 2025

Artistic Residence

A two-month course with Cia Candombá was my first ever contact with fire, where I learned every safety procedure and requirement for handling and working with fire. The course finished with a performance for our community — where I performed for the first time, with palm torches and a fire hula hoop, then returned with the dragon staff as my prop, alongside two other artists.

Wedding in Woodstock

A winter wedding in the heart of the Brazilian savanna. The performance was created as three separate entrances throughout the celebration: two duets and one trio. Each moment brought a different combination of movement, rhythm and fire.

The choreography balanced fire fans, palm torches, fire hoop and dragon staff, letting us explore different styles of movement while complementing the atmosphere of the celebration.

Morro da Luz

An intimate hillside set — long exposures, slow arcs and the quiet between passes. Fire at close range, for a small room of people who stayed until the last torch went out.

30 January — 10 February 2026 · San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala

Guateflow Gathering

A twelve-day flow arts immersion at Eagle's Nest, an artistic retreat above Lake Atitlán. The gathering brought together artists from around the world through workshops in dragon staff, poi, hula hoop, fans, dance and yoga.

We danced with fire, shared techniques, learned from one another and discovered new ways of moving through space. Guateflow was about connection — bringing together people who share the same passion, the same curiosity, and the same dream of turning movement and fire into art.

Jiu Jitsu Private Event

The first performance wearing fully Kiva Designs clothing. The body suit was painted by hand — more than fifty hours of work — and the mask is knotted in macramé, a couple of full days to finish.

A private event in the hills of Alto Paraíso, with fire hoop and fire fans.

10 & 11 July 2026 · São Jorge

Ritual Chapada

An electronic music event in the middle of the woods, where the sound carried between the trees for two nights.

Three entrances across the event, two performances per artist — enough room to let each act breathe and to answer the music as it changed.

17 August 2026 · Cocalzinho de Goiás

High Frequency Festival

A fire fans duo with Jade, the artistic partner with whom I have been building this act.

Two artists, one visual language: movement, flow and the fans drawing the same lines in the dark. The duo is available for festivals, private events and celebrations.

Follow The Sun — Bhaskar

Two fire duo acts with Danflow during a show by the Brazilian DJ and producer Bhaskar, at Na Praia — one of Brasília's major live entertainment destinations, where the shores of Lake Paranoá turn into a beach festival.

Fire fans, fire hoop, dragon staffs and fire staffs, on a stage built for a large-scale music production.

Hipnótica Festival

Hipnótica is one of the established names in the electronic music scene of Goiás, known for large-scale psytrance parties — powerful sound systems, elaborate stage design, visual installations and line-ups from Brazil and abroad. Some editions have welcomed more than fifteen thousand people.

I performed in two separate entrances: a fire fans duo with Jade, then a trio with Jade and Danflow.

Fashion & Costume

Kiva
Designs

Handcrafted wearable art for fire performance and festival wear — macramé, sewing and hand-painting, in fire-safe materials, built piece by piece to be worn into the flame.

Handcrafted wearable art

A clothing brand made to spin fire

Kiva Designs is a clothing brand I created for unique wearable pieces to spin fire. Each design is made by hand, combining beauty, functionality and individuality in clothing.

Inspired by tribal references, my work explores intricate lines, distinctive patterns and textures. I also work with macramé, an ancient craft that uses knots to build patterns, structures and ornaments in clothing and accessories — a technique that turns simple threads into detailed pieces.

The first full Kiva Designs look went into the fire in June 2026, at a private event in Alto Paraíso: the hand-painted one-piece, worn with a knotted macramé mask.

Collective project

Variété de Fogo

An independent project I produce with two other solo artists — Silvia and Rosa — to bring fire art to the community.

Variété de Fogo is an independent project created by three solo artists — Silvia, Iara and Rosa — with the purpose of bringing local art and community together through fire performances.

"We aim to make this art form accessible to everyone, especially those who have never experienced the beauty of fire art."

Produced by
Silvia Sand · Iara Jardini · Rosa Aline
Independent Project with no government funding support.

How does it work?

The project is managed by the three of us, from the first idea to the final performance. Each edition is built around a theme tied to a moment of the year — our Halloween edition explored transformation, rebirth, endings and new beginnings.

We develop the concept, set the timeline and organise every stage of production. Artists apply through an open call and we curate the acts that match the edition's theme, working with each artist, the show host, the DJ, sound and decoration.

The project is entirely independent: it receives no external funding, and relies on local businesses to cover production costs.

The performances

Each edition brings together around ten artists, with acts of roughly five minutes. Every artist creates and prepares their own performance while we coordinate the event as a whole.

Safety is an essential part of the project: before every show we run a fire and performance safety briefing, so everyone knows the precautions and the responsibilities involved.

Our purpose

Beyond presenting a show, Variété de Fogo creates opportunities for local artists to share their work, strengthens the artistic community, and brings cultural experiences to audiences who might never have access to them. Art should be shared, celebrated and made accessible to all.
